NEW YORK - Yet another new era in Cubs baseball begins today.

New manager Dusty Baker doesn't mind if that new era is synonymous with him.

"That's fine," Baker said. "That's what it is. I can't stop people from saying what they want to say. That was the start of the Dusty era when I started with the Giants. Anytime you get somebody new, it's the start of that particular era."

Baker just might be the most high-profile pitchman the Cubs have had in years. He's coming off a highly successful 10-year run as manager of the San Francisco Giants, a run that culminated with a seven-game World Series loss to the Anaheim Angels...
