Cecil Erickson

Cecil H. Erickson of Eugene died March 26 of a heart condition. He was 73.

Erickson was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Portland to Cecil and Erna Chalupa Erickson. He married his wife, Iris, on March 31, 1955.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1955 during the Korean War.

From 1956 to 1992, he worked as a salesman at several automobile dealerships in Eugene, Cottage Grove and Junction City.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Springfield; a daughter, Toni of Eugene; and a grandchild.

No services are planned. Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
