But those numbers scarcely begin to describe the continuing odyssey of San Francisco dancer, choreographer, and teacher Margaret Jenkins. On April 24, she will celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company with a six-performance retrospective of movement, sound, and decor, a two-hour digest of a career that has been instrumental in shaping the face, not to mention the limbs, torso, and sensibility, of contemporary dance on the West Coast.
