Cultural tourists, who comprise one of San Diego's hottest travel markets, tend to be more affluent, stay longer and spend more money than the typical San Diego visitor, according to a survey recently conducted by ConVis.

The survey results paint a revealing portrait of the cultural traveler:

Cultural Tourists are more affluent than the average tourist

The survey shows that cultural tourists have a significantly higher median household income compared to their overnight leisure traveler counterparts. These affluent travelers boast an average household income of $82,500, which is $14,000 more than San Diego's average overnight leisure visitor.
