Henry Rollins doesn't call it poetry or stand-up comedy, and he despises the term "spoken word." To him it's just "talking."

"I just get up there and talk," Rollins said in a telephone interview from a tour stop in Louisiana. "There's a lot to just going up there and being yourself. ... What you work at is to be extremely unrestrained on stage without acting."

Rollins - the buff, 42-year-old former lead singer of Black Flag - will come to the McDonald Theatre on Thursday for a "talking" show that will feature all-new material. On his last tour, he tackled English weather, growing older, snorkeling and other subjects.

He wouldn't give specifics on his topics this time, but...
