Norman Major

The funeral will be held Feb. 1 for Norman Lee "Norm" Major of Eugene, who died Jan. 28 of complications from cancer. He was 65.

Major was born Oct. 7, 1937, in St. Libory, Neb., to Benjamin and Cecelia Franssen Major. He married Patricia Bray in Springfield on Jan. 15, 1957.

He lived in this area for 60 years. He worked as a baker and owned Norm's Bread Board in Florence. He also worked as a boilermaker and as a chemical salesman with MuniChem-Del.

He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Santa Clara Fire Department. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge 357 and St. Peter Catholic Church in Eugene.

His interests included hunting, fishing, woodworking and old cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand- children.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David and Mark, both of Eugene; a daughter, Lisa Heath of Pleasant Hill; a brother, Bill of Conowingo, Md.; two sisters, Velva Fisher of Reno, Nev., and Darlene Halberg of Eugene; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eugene. Saturday's service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be Saturday at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eugene. Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Sacred Heart, Strings of Compassion at Sacred Heart Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.

Annabelle Randolph

The graveside service will be held Feb. 1 for Annabelle A. Randolph of Eugene, who died Jan. 27 from a series of strokes. She was 83.

Randolph was born May 8, 1919, in Oakland, Ore., to David and Alma Landon Cooper. She married Merle Randolph in Chester, Okla., on July 31,...
