CORRECTION (ran 02/04/03): A story on page B1 on Thursday misidentified the head of the group that has proposed building condos in central Eugene. The correct name is Kent Jennings, owner of Jennings & Co. Property Management.

A development team headed by Kurt Jennings, owner of Jennings & Co. Property Management, wants to put pricey condos on a city-owned parking lot southeast of the old Eugene Public Library at Olive Street and 13th Avenue.

The Eugene Planning Com- mission endorsed the idea at its meeting on Monday, and the City Council is set to discuss the matter on Feb. 19.

As part of the deal, the development group wants the city to exempt the 37- to 47-unit project from real estate taxes for 10 years.
