With revenues tripling in the last five years, Zauss-Godwin Hardwood Flooring, Inc. has seen the hardwood flooring industry rising in popularity, replacing typical household flooring products such as carpet and tile.

"It used to be that everyone had carpet or tile, but now hardwood floors have never been more fashionable," said Jeff Godwin, the chief executive officer of Zanss-Godwin Hardwood Flooring. "We have been very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time."

In the last four years, the company has opened three showrooms and transitioned its business from a small labor-minded business into a large design center, Godwin said.

Beginning Nov. 1, the firm will launch a new software system, enabling the company to place and receive orders more efficiently, streamlining the order process, he said.
