For years, ``Lysistrata'' has been a favorite on college campuses. The Greek comedy, which chronicles a group of women who go on a sex strike to end the Peloponnesian War, seems to have a timeless appeal for students.

"It's very directly anti-war, and it's also a sex comedy," said Jack Watson, director of "Good Morning Athens," a musical based on Aristophanes' work. It opens at the Robinson Theatre on Friday.

The ongoing war in Iraq, makes the story of "Lysistrata" even more timely. Last March, more than 1,000 theater companies across the country performed the play to protest the American incursion.
