TUCSON, Ariz. - Derek Anderson got his records, even a rare, blink-twice rushing touchdown on Saturday night.

But the Beavers have their record. And it's a lot better than it used to be.

"We're back to .500," beamed Anderson in the wake of his record-setting game and the 28-14 Pac-10 Conference victory over Arizona.

"Never doubted we'd do it."

A mostly subdued announced crowd of 47,245 seemed to agree.

Oregon State, which lost three of the season's first four games, has won three straight, moved its league performance to 3-2 and leveled its overall record at 4-4.

The Beavers are two wins away, with three regular-season games to play, of becoming bowl eligible. Barriers, big ones, remain, however.
