Well, of course the Ducks danced in the middle of the field after their victory, as the Huskies had for the last two years after their victories, which us inflammatory media types hadn't let any Oregon football player within range of a camera and tape recorder forget for a minute.

After all that, the Ducks could hardly have been expected to simply leave the field as if they'd beaten Washington before, and not just because, well, these particular Ducks hadn't.

Then again, it wasn't a prolonged celebration.

"It just happened," Oregon running back Terrence Whitehead said. "It probably didn't feel as good, because they hadn't been winning."
