QUARTERBACKS

Kellen Clemens didn't seem quite as sharp against Stanford as he was against Arizona and in the fourth quarter at Washington State, but he still finished 22-of-33 for 275 yards. No touchdown passes, but the fourth-down conversion to Keith Allen was right on the money to set up Oregon's only touchdown. The lone interception wasn't his fault either. If he can continue to avoid mistakes, Clemens doesn't have to be perfect for the Ducks to beat Washington. If the game does get out of hand, as oddsmakers have forecast, will we finally see Dennis Dixon again?

This position is an absolute mess for the Huskies, who have lacked production here all season. In order to achieve some consistency - whatever that's worth from a group that has been so atrocious - the Huskies will stick with Casey Paus for the rest of this season. Isaiah Stanback is a better runner, and Carl Bonnell is the quarterback of the future, but Paus is the starter.

RUNNING BACKS

The Ducks continue to benefit from the maturation of Terrence Whitehead into a very good Pac-10 tailback - he may not be "great," but "very good" has been more than enough this season.
