In the old days, the answer would be to send a memo to other attorneys in the office, and open up the appropriate volume of Martindale-Hubbell and page through the listings for likely candidates, with particular emphasis on lawyers from your law school, college, or some other possible affiliation. Of late, electronic searching through the online version of Martindale-Hubbell, or West Legal Directory available through www.findlaw.com are available. (A major difference is that Martindale will allow you to add law school as one of the search criteria; WLD will not.)
Then there is the newly announced slice of the West data mine, and it all begins free of charge, from Findlaw.
