Article Excerpt When something is scheduled to be broadcast on television, it is easy (and perfectly legal, at the moment, thanks to a majority of the Supreme Court in what has become known as the Betamax case, Sony Corp. v. Universal City Studios, Inc., 464 U.S. 417) to program your Video Cassette Recorder or Digital Video Recorder to record the program so you can watch the show later. This is not quite as easy to do with radio, as most audio tape recorders have relatively short tapes, and don't have built-in clocks and timers. (It is possible to connect a radio to the audio inputs of a VCR, but I've never bothered to go that route.)
