I usually write about high tech products and services that directly impact the way you and your firm practice law. Once each year I abandon my usual mode to examine some things that may be utilitarian, but also may be some fun. In other words, things that a lawyer or lawyer's family might like to give or get, appropriate to this time of year.
It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.
As always, I should warn that this list is not comprehensive, but just a few of the items that has caught my eye as I roam through stores, catalogs, magazines, commercial Web sites and other people's offices, and a few standard favorites, good for giving or getting any year.
[Feel Better Stuff]
I repeat my annual advice that a comfortable chair, keyboard, wrist pad, Mouse, large video monitor and specially tuned reading glasses can make a big difference to any lawyer or secretary spending many hours per day at the computer.
Keyboards and Mouses come with computers, but after a couple of years, a change might be welcome. I still like the Microsoft Natural Keyboard and IntelliMouse, but the traditional stuff has been replaced by wireless varieties, and with optical Mouses rather than ones that depend on a rolling ball to move the cursor.
