Lobbyists and other groups spent more than $126,000 since 2000 to send U.S. Rep. Phil Crane on controversial "education" trips, public records show.

The lobbyists also paid more than $400 in golf fees and spa treatments for Crane and his wife during such trips, gifts that break ethics rules forbidding contributions of more than $50 for "entertainment," the records show.
