Is a divided Elgin the city we choose?

After City Manager David Dorgan made his presentation defending the thesis that Elgin's future development will pay for itself, Councilman Bob Gilliam asked an excellent question. He asked, "What else do council members need to know to make decisions about further development in Elgin's far-west area?"

They should know Dorgan's forecast is based on building homes with a value of $350,000. In fact, the future projection is 42,000 homes in the far-west area at that value.
