The villages of Buffalo Grove, Lake Zurich and Vernon Hills get triple 'A' ratings when it comes to keeping roads safe.

Actually, it's more like a pat on the back for excellence in traffic safety from the AAA Chicago Motor Club. The organization plans to honor several local communities, including the Lake County towns, at its annual Community Traffic Safety Awards luncheon this week.
