PROJECT OVERVIEW:

A Spanish/Polish joint venture operating under the name of BUDIMEX-FERROVIAL was recently awarded a construction contract to expand Warsaw's Okecie international airport. The partners in the planned undertaking and their respective shareholdings include Spain-based FERROVIAL AGROMAN S.A. (57.5%), a subsidiary of GRUPO FERROVIAL, in conjunction with its local affiliate BUMIDEX S.A. (37.5%) and LAMELA ESTUDIO (5%).

The airport in question has a current installed passenger handling capacity of 4 million per year and, the upgrade project is intended to increase throughput up to 10 million by 2010. According to the terms of the design/construction award the partnership will be responsible for: - Building a 100,000 square meter terminal including VIP zones

and boarding ramps; - The construction and improvement of runways; - Installing a new apron for parking aircraft; - The construction of an underground railway station; - Building 3 car parks with space for 7,000 cars.
