Despite economic times that have made it tough for technology companies to raise venture capital, software provider Flashline Inc. of Cleveland has netted an additional $5 million from a Pittsburgh investor.

Flashline will use the money from venture capitalist Adams Capital Management to expand its sales and marketing staff, to increase product development activities and to grow its distribution network, said Flashline president and chief operating officer David Inglis. Flashline's products enable its customers to reuse software code, thereby reducing development time for new software.
