Starbucks is giving its seal of approval to the far West Side by building one of its coffee shops at 450 W. 33rd St.

The crown prince of caffeine, which is considered a harbinger of gentrification when it shows up in a New York City neighborhood, is giving the area a try because of the dense population of office workers at the 1.4 million-square- foot property. The building is on the southeast corner of Tenth Avenue. It formerly housed the SkyRink and is now home to the Daily News.
