Article Excerpt Every other Monday my editor, John Hollon, comes into my office and says, "Are you writing a column this week?"
And I say, "Yes, I am."
This time, be reminded me it would be my last one.
After 15 years at the helm of this wonderful newspaper, I will drive to North County and drop anchor inside the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce as its new president and CEO.
Fifteen years is a long time. In September of 1987, I joined the newspaper as its president and publisher and stayed on until April 1990.
