World Diagnostics, Inc. (OTCBB: WDGI), www.worlddiagnostics.com, a pioneering global provider of medical diagnostic tests and specialized laboratory products for the international marketplace, formally announced today a strategic alliance with privately owned MedPharm LLC, www.MedPharm.net, to build cross marketing and packaging strategies for affordable diagnostic tests and pharmaceutical products that diagnose and treat a variety of diseases, especially those most concentrated in the emerging markets and developing nations. The WDI/MedPharm agreement provides for investment in WDI and ongoing financial support, resulting in a meaningful ownership interest for MedPharm in WDI of nearly 15 percent.
MedPharm, headquartered in Alexandria, VA, and with manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Europe, Eastern Europe and Latin America, previously has been selling a narrow range of diagnostic tests, and will now expand its offerings across the complete spectrum of all WDI-branded products for distribution and sale through its private and government related channels. MedPharm will supply over 400 of the most frequently used pharmaceuticals needed within the emerging markets including all of the generic drugs and pharmaceuticals on the World Health Organization's Essential Drugs list to...
