Food should be fun. And profitable. Frozen pizza and appetizers have a leg up on both -- they're fun to eat, and fun to watch sliding quickly past the scanners. At Frozen Specialties Inc. (FSI), we enjoy the former, but our first love is the latter.
Consider what's slid past the scanners of America's supermarkets over the past year, and hold onto your hat! (You may just want to sneak a few Burger Bites [TM] or Rising Slices [TM] into it after hearing a few numbers from us.)
Over the past year, private label frozen foods have grown 11%, or about five times the department average. That's good enough for a 16.8% share of the department. Sure, that's terrific, but the other news is even better.
