This one wasn't very close.

Spokane made sure of that with three three-run home runs during a 12-6 win over the Emeralds in front of 3,716 Friday night at Civic Stadium.

The defeat ended a frustrating string of close losses for the Emeralds, whose previous seven defeats were all by two runs or less. Spokane took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never led by less as the Emeralds gave up a season high in runs.

Spokane won for the third night in a row and defeated Eugene for the second straight night. The Indians (23-19) are in the hunt to defend their Northwest League title and currently sit one game behind Tri-City in the East Division.
