Okay, I'll say it. I'm not afraid. I'll just blurt it out and get it done with: Consumers are big, fat liars! There, I said it. Since I also put myself in that group, I don't feel all that guilty. We lie, okay? Maybe not intentionally, or with malice, but we can spin a yam or stretch a truth with the best of them. We are so good at it that we can actually convince food companies that we, uh (ha-ha), mean exactly what we say when we say it Except we are lying.
