We are very lucky at this time in history that there is so much information available to the home gardener concerning the cultivation and use of medicinal herbs. Recognizing how important it is to harmonize with the seasons and to work together with the cycles of nature, we weave relationships with the plant communities that heal and nourish our bodies as well as help us remember our deep connection to Mother Earth. Growing medicinal plants in your home landscape is magical. By learning to grow these in a discriminating way, without the use of chemical fertilizers or harmful pesticides we not only nurture ourselves, but we nurture the earth as well. By cultivating the plants we choose to use for our medicines, we undertake a partnership with the plants to nourish and protect them so they, in turn, can do the same for us.
