Article Excerpt In September, Peak Technologies (Columbia, MD, 800-926-9212) (www.peaktech.com), an RR Donnelley company (NYSE:RRD), reported it has been named as an authorized radio frequency identification (RFID) specialist by Zebra Technologies (Vernon Hills, IL, 847-634-6700) (Nasdaq:ZBRA) (www.zebra.com). The Zebra authorized RFID specialist status is granted to a limited number of value-added resellers and systems integrators in North America. Peak achieved this status by meeting Zebra's certification criteria, including in-depth training, dedicated RFID integration resources, and technical proficiency.
Peak is among the first Zebra authorized RFID specialists with the ability to provide a comprehensive RFID solution, consistent performance, project management and ongoing service to companies with multiple sites throughout North America. Having RFID specialist status, Peak is fully authorized to sell, install, and service Zebra's line of RFID printers/encoders. The newly-launched certification program also allows Peak to receive priority access to Zebra's RFID training and forums, including special presentations and Webcasts.
"Our ongoing partnership with Zebra is extremely important and mutually beneficial. It enables us to design and provide more effective and reliable printing solutions to our enterprise clients," stated Adrian Thomas, Peak's president and CEO said. "Our new status as a Zebra authorized RFID specialist strengthens this relationship and further validates Peak's ability to deliver Zebra's full suite of enterprise printing solutions,"
"We are very excited about Peak's RFID certification with Zebra because of its extensive organization and deep technical competency, which gives it a distinct advantage of offering multi-site, multi-national RFID rollout capability," stated Chris Hook, Zebra Technologies' director, RFID market development. "Peak brings significant value to Zebra and our mutual customers as a well qualified systems integrator, and Zebra has enjoyed a business relationship with Peak for 12 years."
