"I think it is a great accomplishment," Rigo said, "a better accomplishment than reaching 100% membership status."
Rigo says he first got the idea of urging every Post to reach commemorative status during the WWII commemoration (1991-95). The Department reached that goal, and when the Korean War remembrance was announced, Rigo decided he would push for the same. He says he hopes the tradition will continue.
