MILWAUKEE - The present hasn't been too kind to the Cubs lately, but the future showed up at just the right time and brought some life to the party Sunday.

Rookie second baseman Bobby Hill scored the game-winning run in the 11th inning on a sacrifice fly off the bat of youngster Corey Patterson to cap a messy but thrilling 5-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Hill also scored the go-ahead run in the ninth inning on a sacrifice fly to the shortstop. He finished the game with a catch on a line drive to start a double play. Patterson went 2-for-4 with a triple and the...
