Mr. Bell ends his editorial, "MCRD Proposal Worthy of a Test Flight," by writing, "Until it is proven MCRD offers no long-term solution ... planners must seriously consider a Downtown airport expansion." There was a reason this was printed in the April 1st edition, right? This is a joke, is it not?
Evidently, having an expanded Lindbergh outgrown in 18 years does not make any such endeavor short-termed. Amazing! But wait! Even if MCRD were to move to El Toro and the new runway were to be built at Lindbergh, there wouldn't be 18 years left from then until...
