TOKYO, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Gov. Mark Schweiker today met with executives of Mitsubishi Electric Corp. and announced that the firm's Pennsylvania subsidiary, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc., plans to expand its operation in Warrendale, Allegheny County, creating at least 70 new jobs and retaining 215 jobs.

Gov. Schweiker also met with executives of Oki, a member of the Pittsburgh Digital Greenhouse, and Kyowa Electric & Chemical Co. Ltd. to thank them for their significant investments in Pennsylvania and to discuss potential expansion plans.

Gov. Schweiker met with the companies as part of his three-day visit to Tokyo, Japan, during which he will meet with eight companies. These firms support a combined total of 7,000 jobs in Pennsylvania. The Governor's visit, which follows...
