The time is right for Adam Morgan.

The Barrington senior is in his fourth year of playing tennis for coach CeCe Coates.

He has prevailed while playing behind his brother Karl (now at Carthage) as a freshman as the Broncos' No. 2 singles player. Then he endured two years of Palatine's Tom Hanus, who rolled over anything and everyone en route to a state singles title.

Hanus has graduated, and Morgan, after a terrific junior year (first as the team's No. 1 singles player and later at doubles with Jeff Petrick), appears ready to make a serious run at state tourney time while helping the Broncos regain top honors in the Mid- Suburban League.

"Yes, I'm glad Hanus isn't around anymore," joked Morgan, who with Petrick won a sectional title and fourth place...
