Trust seemed to be a tangible, if not decisive, factor in the referendums Barrington-area voters were asked to decide on this week.

Though the most dramatic referendum outcome in the area Tuesday was Barrington Unit District 220's narrow margin of approval, the tax increases sought by the Barrington Park District and Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District enjoyed stronger leads even though more money was requested.
