Burntsand Comments on Estimated Q4 2001 Results and Provides Initial Guidance for Q1 2002.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Burntsand Inc. (Burntsand) today announced estimated results for the fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2001. Revenue is expected to be approximately $16 million. Based on these estimated revenues, the company expects to report a loss of approximately $0.05 per share before goodwill amortization. The loss includes the impact of a provision of $1.0M for accounts receivables. In addition, the provision for vacant real estate that was made in the Q1 FY2001 restructuring provision has been increased by $1.2M due to poor market demand and over capacity in the real estate market.
