SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Superconductor Technologies Inc. ("STI"), the global leader in high-temperature superconducting (HTS) products for wireless voice and data applications, today announced that it will introduce its new IMT-2000 SuperFilter(R) Tower Top System, the industry's first product launch of a cryogenic receiver front-end (CRFE) system designed specifically for deployment in international markets adopting 3G wireless standards.

The IMT-2000 SuperFilter Tower Top System will be unveiled next week as part of STI's participation at the 3G Mobile World Summit in Japan, one of the most prestigious international industry events focused exclusively on 3G, or third-generation, wireless technology. The product will be on display Jan. 15-18 in STI's booth, number 31, at the Nippon Convention Center in Tokyo.
