IONA(R), the leading e-Business Platform provider for Web Services Integration (NASDAQ: IONA), today announced that Intelsat, a leading satellite communications provider, has selected IONA's Orbix End 2 Anywhere(TM) platform to develop and integrate the ground network systems managing its communications satellite fleet.

Established in 1964 as an intergovernmental cooperative and privatized in July 2001, Intelsat was the world's first commercial international satellite services provider.
