The lights go out, and suddenly you're rocketing down a human blood vessel, dodging corpuscles as big as tables.

Or you've got a window seat on a spaceship, watching the Ice Age roll across Mother Earth like spilled milk. Or you're looking up at a dinosaur - up and up and up.

This is SkyVision, the new toy at the Lane Planetarium. And it's opening eyes.

"It's cool," said Hal Hermanson of Eugene, following a private demonstration Wednesday night. "You get more of a three-dimensional experience."

SkyVision is a digital projection system that uses six projectors to throw images onto the dome screen of the planetarium, located near Autzen Stadium.
