REDMOND - In an all-Sky-Em League final, Micah Mooney scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Dele Opeifa had 11 points and six rebounds to lead Junction City to a 45-43 win over Creswell for the championship of the Central Oregon 3A Holiday Classic on Monday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Jim McQuiston of Creswell sent the game into overtime with a pair of free throws that made the score 37-37, but Mooney gave the Tigers (9-1) the lead for good with a three-pointer with 1:00 left on the clock.

McQuiston had 11 points and Boe Burrus added 10 for the Bulldogs (9-1).

In an earlier semifinal game, Mooney scored 17 points and Opeifa had 13 points and eight rebounds as Junction City defeated Newport 69-52. Creswell downed Madras 86-55 in the other semifinal game.
