- One of the Chicago area's most colorful restaurateurs, Maury Andes, 76, died June 9. One of Chicago's restaurateurs, he became well known in Buffalo Grove at Wiener Take All, and then as a greeter at the Wendy's restaurant in Buffalo Grove. He began his restaurant career in Albany Park, Chicago, in 1952 in a building affectionately known as The Shack. It relocated to Lawrence and Lawndale in 1959, and moved to its final location at Lawrence and Central Park Avenues in 1972. After closing his own restaurant in 1985, Maury went on to work at Harries Deli in Glencoe.
