RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Bayer Biological Products (BP) and AlphaNet, Inc. (AlphaNet) today announced the signing of a long-term extension of their agreement under which the services of AlphaNet Coordinators are offered to alpha-1 patients enrolled in Bayer Direct(R). Bayer Direct(R) is an innovative drug distribution program created by Bayer BP in 1999 to better respond to the needs of people living with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a genetic lung disorder. For more than fifteen years, Bayer BP has been serving the alpha-1 community through the manufacturing of Prolastin(R), Alpha-1 Proteinase Inhibitor (Human), to treat this condition.
