Bob Popyk's columns are an always-read item when I get The Music Trades. it's always good to see a realistic approach to the day-to-day job of selling product in a retail environment.

eBay hasn't cut into our sales appreciably. I agree that most buyers in the online community are (so far) either peripheral customers for our industry (new or inexperienced end-users not yet really involved in music) or confirmed e-consumers who prefer to conduct their business online (usually because they think they can get a better deal). Hailing from the Cleveland market, I don't encounter the group that goes online...
