THE Tory candidate faced with deselection over her affair with a married MP stood at the last Election in the place of a rival woman politician thrown out for having an illicit relationship.

Liz Truss, 34, has been trying to fight off a revolt from activists in South West Norfolk after it was revealed that she had a fling with fellow Tory Mark Field.

Now, The Mail on Sunday has established that when she stood for the Tories in Calder Valley, West Yorkshire, she was in the middle of her affair with Mr Field - and took him on the campaign trail.

She failed to mention the relationship to the local Conservative association, which is...
