SALEM - Springfield mayor and GOP congressional candidate Sid Leiken on Monday urged elections officials to halt their inquiry into his possible elections law violation and to "determine the appropriate penalty" for what he admits was an inadequately documented claim that $2,000 he withdrew from his campaign committee was used to pay his mother for polling services.
