Venice Art Center. An exhibition by the Suncoast Watercolor Society continues through Nov. 5; it's followed by a members-only exhibition of Portrait & Figure, Nov. 13 through Dec. 5. 485-7136.
Galleria Silecchia. On view here through Nov. 15 is a show featuring works by glass artist Doug Randall and oil painter Glenn Harrington. You can also see works by glass artist Hiroshi Yamano, mixed media artist Paul Tamanian and sculptor Mark Davis, Nov. 6 through Dec. 14. 365-7414.
Ringling Museum of Art. Remaining on view through Nov. 15: Paths to Paradise: The World of Buddhism. Also on view: Venice in the Age of Canaletto, featuring the 18th-century Venetian landscapes of Giovanni Antonio Canal, through Jan. 10. Opening Nov. 27 to run through June 27: Inside the Chinese Scholar's Studio, which reconstructs the environment of the Chinese literati during the last dynasty in China. And on view at the Circus Museum's Tibbals Learning Center Nov. 10 through March 4 is New & Wonderful: Inventions and Innovations Under the Big Top, a poster exhibition centering on such thrillers as the hot air balloon and the cannon. 359-5700.

Dabbert Gallery. The Palm Avenue gallery continues its fifth anniversary exhibition, presenting the work of 25 gallery artists, through Nov. 30. 955-1315.
Longboat Key Center for the Arts. Aging in America: The Years Ahead, featuring photographs by Ed Kashi and text by Julie Winokur and exploring our attitudes about aging, continues here through Dec. 3. There will be a lecture by Kashi at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 and a reception at 5 p.m. Nov. 5. 383-2345.
