It's the follow-through that matters, they always say. This week, here are updates on a few events that I've mentioned recently in this column.

First, I want to thank all of the Huntley members of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) who helped to make our first membership tea such a great success.

The reception, held last Monday at the EFS Bank, drew around 30 well-wishers and new members, who came from as far away as Aurora, St. Charles and Addison. Joining us to celebrate our new branch status were Illinois state AAUW President Kim Benziger, past President Alice Smith and District 5 Director Carol Heisler of Crystal Lake.
