Registration is open for the Alexandra House Walk for Hope: Steps to End Domestic Violence, to be held at Picnic Pavilion No. 3, Bunker Hills Regional Park, Andover, on the morning of Oct. 10. The event is intended to raise awareness of domestic violence, remember those who have died and honor survivors. Registration for the 5K run or 2-mile walk is $15 for adults if received before Thursday, $20 afterward. Registration is $10 for kids ages 6-18, and free for 5 and younger. Historical Society holding harvest dance
The Anoka County Historical Society is holding a Harvest Time Barn Dance on Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Anoka County Fairgrounds. Advance tickets are $25 and can be bought at the Anoka County History Center and Library at 2135 Third Av. N. in Anoka or by calling 763-421-0600. Tickets at the door will cost $30.
