Alestra, S. de R.L. de C.V. Announces Preliminary Results of the Tender Offer for Its 8% Senior Notes due 2010.

MONTERREY, N.L., Mexico, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Alestra, S. de R.L. de C.V., a leading provider of telecommunications services in Mexico ("Alestra" or the "Company"), today announced that, as of 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on August 7, 2009 (such date and time is referred to as the "Early Participation Date" in the Offer to Purchase dated July 27, 2009 (the "Offer to Purchase")), of the $193,182,875 aggregate principal amount outstanding of the Company's 8% Senior Notes due 2010, CUSIP No. 01446PAG9 (the "Notes"), US$67,444,620 in aggregate principal amount of the Notes (representing 34.91% of the aggregate principal amount of outstanding Notes) had been tendered and not withdrawn pursuant to its cash tender offer for the Notes (the "Tender Offer") announced on July 27, 2009. The Tender Offer is being made upon the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Company's Offer to Purchase and in the related Letter of Transmittal (the "Letter of Transmittal" and, together with the Offer to Purchase, the "Offer Documents").

The total consideration (the "Total Consideration") which will be paid for each US$1,000 outstanding principal amount of Notes validly tendered prior to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on the Early Participation Date and accepted for payment will be US$1,012.50. The Total Consideration includes an early participation payment of US$2.50 per US$1,000 outstanding principal amount of Notes (the "Early Participation Payment").
