ANDREW FLINTOFF'S imminent retirement from Test cricket has dominated this summer's Ashes series, yet England supporters may also have to wave goodbye to another giant of the game - Australia captain Ricky Ponting.

Ponting turns 35 in December, so he is unlikely to be around the next time Australia tour this country in 2013. He will probably be in England next year for his country's two Tests against Pakistan, but his time on these shores as an Ashes competitor is running out....
