COLOMBO, July 9 Asia Pulse - Sri Lanka state revenues fell 9.6 per cent while day-to-day expenditure zoomed 34.5 per cent driving the revenue deficit up an unprecedented 528 per cent to 118.2 billion rupees (US$1 billion), the latest official data has revealed.

The finance ministry said in its mid-year fiscal report that revenues fell to 190.1 billion from 210.4 billion, and current expenses rose to 308.4 billion rupees from 229.2 billion rupees.
